Some essential oils do come from raw materials, raw materials are any substance that is in nature and does not have to be created. Some examples of raw materials include, berries, seeds, bark, wood, leaves, flowers, peels, resin and root. These are also all parts of a plant, which is where the essentials oils come from. They are raw in the essence of that they have not been altered to get another product from it; they are natural in their own state.
There are many different essentials oils and they are used in many different ways. Here are some of the raw materials of the plant that the oil comes from. In the berry part of the plant comes, Allspice and Juniper. From the seeds come Almond, Anise, Celery, Cumin and Nutmeg Oil. In the bark you can find the Cassia and Cinnamon. In the wood of the plant are the Camphor, Cedar, Rosewood and Sandalwood.
In the leaves of the plant you can find, Basil, Bay Leaf, Cinnamon, Common Sage, Eucalyptus, Lemon Grass, Melaleuca, Oregano, Patchouli, Peppermint, Pine, Rosemary, Spearmint, Tea Tree, Wintergreen and Thyme. The flowers will be the Clove, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Geranium, Hyssop, Lavender, Manuak, Orange, Rose and Ylang-Ylang.
The peels are the Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Orange and the Tangerine. Lastly, the root is Valerian.
