An essential oil is a concentrated liquid that contains strong aromatic compounds from typically plants. Essential oils are used in perfume, aromatherapy, cosmetics, incense, food or drink flavoring, cleaning products and in medicines as well. Essential oils also go by the name Volatile oil and ethereal oil. The word essential is intended to show that the oil is the fragrant part of the plant that can be extracted and is not indepensible.
Essentials oils that are used for medicinal purposes have long included vegetable oils, because they are heavier. The medicinal properties for each have a certain purpose they can help soothe irradiated skin and some may help ease the pain from diseases like cancer. They are not a cure but they act as a pain reliever. These date back throughout history, when a herbal store or natural remedy store sells these products they will have to follow regulations set forth by the FDA.
